Meet Christopher Walker, Owner/Designer

Chris Walker's passion for aviation and construction has shaped his career and his approach to building custom homes. As a licensed aircraft mechanic and commercial pilot, precision, attention-to-detail, and effective communication skills were instilled in him from an early age. Chris's background in aviation is reflected in the way he manages his residential construction business, Christopher Developments.

Since 1991, Chris has been building custom homes and refining his process to ensure that each project is completed on time and on budget. His skills as a pilot and mechanic are put to use daily as he oversees the building process with a keen eye for quality control and troubleshooting.

In addition to his work with Christopher Developments, Chris is actively involved in his community. He performs formation flight displays in his 1960's warbird for Remembrance Day ceremonies and donates flights with the Red Star Pilots Association to charity events. He is also a former member of the Planning and Development Committee for the Town of View Royal and a current director of the Victoria Residential Builders Association.

Meet Joan Gandza, Office Manager

Joan is Christopher’s wife. She plays an integral role in Christopher Developments, managing all client invoicing and accounts. Before joining Chris to make it a family business, she worked in government. Clients appreciate the care and meticulousness Joan puts into all invoices and budgets to ensure that they are accurate. She loves cooking and enjoys playing tennis. Both Joan and Chris work out of their View Royal office, steps from their home. Their daughter, Anya, plans to study architecture and eventually set direction and design for the movie industry, inspired by her parents’ passion for art and design.
